Third baseman Aramis Ramirez had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Dominican Republicans
topped the Lewisville Fire Ants in 13 innings by a score of 9 to 6 at the
ballpark.

The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings.  Dominican won the hard
fought contest in the 13th inning.  Scott Podsednik led off the inning for
Dominican when he delivered a single.  After an out was recorded, Scott
Hatteberg came up and he laced a one-base hit.  Jason Bay then hit a single.
Ramirez followed and he doubled knocking home two runners.  Jason Larue
stepped into the box and stroked a base-hit.  Matt Holliday contributed to
the rally and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning.
Dominican bats were very productive in the 5th inning which saw them plate 3
runs on 4 hits and the 13th inning with 3 runs on 5 hits.  A wild affair,
this game saw the lead change 5 times.  

The victory went to Chris Reitsma(3-2) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs.
The loss was charged to Lance Carter(3-3) in relief.  With this win,
Dominican has a 48-75 record.  They have been 3-7 lately.  With the loss, the
Lewisville ballclub's record is 50-73, worst in the division.
